"Teach a child to choose the right path, and when he is older he will remain upon it." Proverbs 22:6
Our Sunday School meets each week from 9:15 -10:15 during September through June. Children ages 3 through kindergarten hear stories and participate in age appropriate crafts following the Gospel Light curriculum.
The first graders through eighth graders focus on one Bible story a month using a workshop rotation model from Cornerstones. Students experience the Bible story by participating in crafts, storytelling, preparing & eating food, playing games, and making connections to our faith today. While students attend their Sunday School classes, parents can participate in the contemporary worship service.
During a week in mid to late July, we run a Vacation Bible School program jointly with St. Andrew's Church in Perkasie. Around 60 children join together from 6:15 PM – 8:45 PM to hear God's Word, sing, and rotate through six stations. On Friday night, we celebrate the week with a picnic dinner and a closing program. The Vacation Bible School week is a highlight of the year.
In addition to the classes, the Sunday School students can participate in various other activities. In 2013, the students created 2 floats and walked in local parades to collect food for FISH, planted flowers for their mothers, filled 100 socks of love for the homeless, decorated a tree for the museum, and celebrated Jesus' birthday with a posada.
All families with their children and friends are welcome to join us to hear God's Word.
